Therapy

Katherine Quick, BSc, MSc, PgC, MBACP (Accred)

What can I offer?

I am a Psychological therapist (offering counselling and psychotherapy) and I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).

I have worked with adults, teenagers and groups within a variety of NHS settings. I have worked with people with a broad range of emotional and psychological difficulties such as:

depression

anxiety

panic disorder

health problems

isolation

suicidal thoughts and feelings

childhood abuse

trauma

bereavement

relationship problems

phobias

low self-esteem and stress management

I am able to offer both short- and long-term counselling, taking into account the nature of clients’ concerns and needs.

I am an integrative practitioner – meaning I am able to draw on my knowledge of humanistic approaches (person-centred), cognitive-behavioural (CBT) and psychodynamic approaches to help reduce psychological distress and to enhance psychological well-being. I will work collaboratively with you to determine which way of working best suits your current needs. At the heart of my practice is a commitment to providing a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can feel able to explore your difficulties in depth and where you can begin to increase your self-awareness in order to bring change.

I offer counselling in both English and Polish.
